The Encinal Jets (Alameda, CA) softball nipped the host Maria Carrillo Pumas (Santa Rosa, CA), 8-7 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Jets (14-10) will now prepare for their bout against Eureka (Eureka, CA). The Loggers go into the non-league bout with a 16-7 record. In their last bout, Eureka held off Moreau Catholic (Hayward, CA), 7-6, in a non-league bout.

The Pumas now possess a 16-5 record.

This game is a part of the 2023 North Coast Section Softball Championships - Division 3 tournament
