In Friday's non-league contest, the Newburyport Clippers (Newburyport, MA) softball team overwhelmed the host Ipswich Tigers (Ipswich, MA), by a margin of 14-1.
With the triumph, Newburyport moves its record to 10-6 on the year. The Clippers travel to Triton Regional (Byfield, MA) to play the Vikings in a Cape Ann Kinney contest on Monday, May 22. The Vikings come into the contest with a record of 16-1.
