The Marysville Monarchs got by the host Lancaster Golden Gales softball squad by a final score of 3-2 in Friday's non-league battle.

The Monarchs (20-5) will now prepare for their battle against Newark (Newark, OH). The Wildcats go into the non-league battle with a 21-8 record. In their last battle, Newark nudged Westerville North (Westerville, OH), 8-4, in a non-league battle.

The Golden Gales now possess a 18-4 record.

This game is a part of the 2023 OHSAA Softball State Championships (Ohio) - Division I tournament
