The Thornton Academy Trojans softball team scored 11 runs and limited the host Portland Bulldogs to 3 in the Trojans league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Thornton Academy moves its record to 6-8 on the year. The Trojans host Kennebunk (Kennebunk, ME) to clash with the Rams in a Class A South game on Saturday, May 20. The Rams come into the game with a record of 10-1. Kennebunk won 12-0 in their recent league game against Cheverus (Portland, ME)

In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Scarborough Red Storm (Scarborough, ME) in a Class A South game, on Monday, May 22. Portland will attempt to move on its 3-9 season record. The Red Storm come into the game with a 7-5 record after their 10-7 league loss to South Portland (South Portland, ME).
