The Central Red Devils (East Corinth, ME) baseball the visiting Maine Central Institute Huskies (Pittsfield, ME), 2-0 in Monday's league challenge.
The Red Devils now own a 2-8 record. They take the field next when they host Mattanawcook for a Class C North challenge on Tuesday, May 20. Central will clash with a Lynx team coming off a 6-1 non-league win over Stearns (Millinocket, ME). The Lynx record now stands at 9-0.
With the defeat, Maine Central Institute drops to 1-8 on the year. The Huskies host Foxcroft Academy (Dover-Foxcroft, ME) to clash with the Ponies in a Class C North challenge on Friday, May 23. The Ponies go into the challenge with a record of 8-2.
