The Champaign Central Maroons (Champaign, IL) baseball trounced the host Charleston Trojans (Charleston, IL), 8-1 in Monday's non-league challenge.
The Maroons now own a 20-11 record. They take the field next when they host East Peoria for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 22. Champaign Central will clash with a Raiders team coming off a 5-0 league win over Pekin (Pekin, IL). The Raiders record now stands at 24-8.
With the defeat, Charleston drops to 8-17 on the year. The Trojans travel to Taylorville (Taylorville, IL) to clash with the Tornadoes in a Apollo challenge on Wednesday, May 21. The Tornadoes go into the challenge with a record of 15-7. Taylorville won 6-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Lincolnwood (Raymond, IL)
