In Monday's non-league bout, the Wheeler Lions (North Stonington, CT) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Grasso Tech Eagles (Groton, CT), by a tally of 14-3.
Next up, the Lions encounter the Ledyard Colonels (Ledyard, CT) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, May 20. Wheeler will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Colonels enter the bout with a 7-12 record after their 6-1 non-league win over Putnam (Putnam, CT).
The Eagles (9-8) will now prepare for their bout against New London (New London, CT). The Whalers enter the non-league bout with a 10-7 record. In their last bout, New London overcame St. Bernard (Uncasville, CT), 6-2, in a league bout.
