In Monday's league game, the visiting Wheeler Bearcats baseball team scored a close 18-16 win over the Griffith Panthers.
The Bearcats (4-3) will now prepare for their game against South Central (Union Mills, IN). The Satellites go into the non-league game with a 4-8 record. In their last game, South Central by Chesterton (Chesterton, IN), 13-1, in a non-league game.
Next, the Panthers play the Kouts Mustangs & Fillies (Kouts, IN) in a non-league game, on Saturday, May 24. Griffith will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Mustangs & Fillies go into the game with a 5-2 record after their 11-5 non-league win over Winamac (Winamac, IN).
