In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Clarke County Eagles softball team scored a tight 5-4 victory over the Strasburg Rams.
The Eagles (17-2) will now prepare for their match against Stonewall Jackson (Quicksburg, VA). The Generals go into the non-league match with a 2-15 record. In their last match, Stonewall Jackson was nipped by Madison County (Madison, VA), 16-7, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Rams battle the Madison County Mountaineers (Madison, VA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, May 20. Strasburg will attempt to better on its 12-4 season record. The Mountaineers go into the match with a 3-16 record after their 13-12 non-league loss to Orange County (Orange, VA).
