Massachusetts High School Softball - Newburyport knocked off by Georgetown

The Georgetown Royals overwhelmed the visiting Newburyport Clippers softball squad by a count of 12-0 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Royals meet the Hamilton-Wenham Regional Generals (South Hamilton, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, May 20. Georgetown will attempt to upgrade on its 7-1 season record. The Generals go into the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 9-8 non-league win over Winthrop (Winthrop, MA).

The Clippers (4-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Triton Regional (Byfield, MA). The Vikings go into the Cape Ann Kinney challenge with a 3-2 record.
