The Monacan Chiefs triumphed over the host J.R. Tucker Tigers softball squad by a count of 12-2 in Monday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Chiefs play the L.C. Bird Skyhawks (Chesterfield, VA) in a Dominion challenge, on Wednesday, May 21. Monacan will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Skyhawks enter the challenge with a 4-15 record after their 19-1 non-league loss to Amelia County (Amelia Court House, VA).
The Tigers (6-10) will now prepare for their challenge against John Marshall (Richmond, VA). The Justices enter the Colonial challenge with a 3-9 record. In their last challenge, John Marshall overcame Richmond High School for the Arts (Richmond, VA), 21-8, in a non-league challenge.
