Yorktown Tigers (Yorktown, IN) supporters left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Northeastern Knights (Fountain City, IN), 6-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Yorktown improves its record to 15-4 on the year. The Tigers travel to Madison-Grant (Fairmount, IN) to play the Argylls in a non-league game on Wednesday, May 21. The Argylls enter the game with a record of 17-7. Madison-Grant lost 12-10 in their recent non-league game against Jay County (Portland, IN)

The Knights now hold a 9-7 record. They play next when they travel to Cambridge City Lincoln for a Tri-Eastern game on Friday, May 23. Northeastern will play a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 8-1 league loss to Centerville (Centerville, IN). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 4-12.
