The Peabody Veterans Memorial Tanners softball squad (Peabody, MA), was routed 11-4 in Monday's non-league contest with the host Saugus Sachems (Saugus, MA)

With the triumph, Saugus improves its record to 9-7 on the year. The Sachems host Swampscott (Swampscott, MA) to face the Big Blue in a Northeast- Lynch contest on Tuesday, May 20. The Big Blue enter the contest with a record of 8-7. Swampscott lost 18-4 in their recent non-league contest against Masconomet Regional (Boxford, MA)

The Tanners now hold a 8-9 record.
