In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Springfield Senators softball team scored a tight 5-0 victory over the Richwoods Knights.

The Senators (19-5) will now prepare for their match against Lincoln (Lincoln, IL). The Railsplitters go into the non-league match with a 14-16 record. In their last match, Lincoln was routed by Pontiac (Pontiac, IL), 5-0, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Knights battle the Manual Rams (Peoria, IL) in a Big Twelve match, on Tuesday, May 20. Richwoods will attempt to better on its 5-17 season record. The Rams go into the match with a 0-1 record after their 13-1 non-league loss to Peoria Heights (Peoria Heights, IL).
