In Monday's non-league battle, the visiting Hancock Eagles volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the De La Salle Meteors.
The Eagles (10-8) will now prepare for their battle against Lane Tech (Chicago, IL). The Lane Tech come into the Chicago Public Gold battle with a 14-10 record. In their last battle, Lane Tech lost by Whitney Young (Chicago, IL), 2-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Meteors clash with the Brother Rice Crusaders (Chicago, IL) in a Chicago Catholic - Blue battle, on Tuesday, May 3. De La Salle will attempt to advance on its 1-14 season record. The Crusaders come into the battle with a 12-14 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Oswego (Oswego, IL).
