Ridge View Blazers (Columbia, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Fairfield Central Griffins (Winnsboro, SC), 14-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Blazers now own a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fort Mill for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 4. Ridge View will face a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 13-1 league win over Nation Ford (Fort Mill, SC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 11-5.

With the loss, Fairfield Central falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Griffins travel to Wren (Piedmont, SC) to face the Hurricanes in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 3. The Hurricanes enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Wren won 7-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Palmetto (Williamston, SC)
