Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Gilmour Academy Lancers (Gates Mills, OH) and the visiting Western Reserve Academy Pioneers (Hudson, OH), witnessed Gilmour Academy's softball squad tip Western Reserve Academy by a count of 10-6.

The Lancers now sport a 2-5 record. They play next when they host Beaumont School for a non-league match on Wednesday, May 4. Gilmour Academy will face a Blue Streaks squad coming off a 11-0 league loss to Walsh Jesuit (Cuyahoga Falls, OH). The Blue Streaks record now stands at 1-7.

With the loss, Western Reserve Academy moves to 2-2 on the season. The Pioneers travel to Magnificat (Rocky River, OH) to face the Blue Streaks in a non-league match on Thursday, May 5. The Blue Streaks go into the match with a record of 7-8. Magnificat lost 13-3 in their recent non-league match against Normandy (Parma, OH)
