The West Scranton Invaders softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Honesdale Hornets to 2 in the Invaders non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, West Scranton improves its record to 13-1 on the year. The Invaders travel to Valley View (Archbald, PA) to clash with the Cougars in a Lackawanna 1 game on Wednesday, May 4. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 8-2. Valley View lost 15-1 in their recent non-league game against North Pocono (Covington Township, PA)

In their next game, the Hornets clash with the Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns (Hawley, PA) in a Lackawanna 2 game, on Tuesday, May 3. Honesdale will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record. The Buckhorns come into the game with a 7-4 record after their 14-3 non-league win over Pleasant Valley (Brodheadsville, PA).
