Illinois High School Softball - Lincoln-Way East bounces Providence Catholic

The Lincoln-Way East Griffins routed the visiting Providence Catholic Celtics softball squad by a final score of 10-0 in Monday's non-league battle.
The Griffins (14-2) will now prepare for their battle against Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL). The Vikings go into the SouthWest Suburban battle with a 7-8 record. In their last battle, Homewood-Flossmoor notched a victory over Richards (Oak Lawn, IL), 18-7, in a non-league battle.
The Celtics now possess a 15-5 record. They play next when they travel to Fenwick for a GCAC- Red battle on Wednesday, May 4. Providence Catholic will meet a Friars squad coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Saint Ignatius College Prep (Chicago, IL). The Friars record now stands at 6-12.
