Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Pinkerton Astros (Derry, NH) and the host Manchester West Blue Knights (Manchester, NH), witnessed Pinkerton's softball squad tip Manchester West by a count of 8-1.
The Astros now sport a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to Trinity for a non-league match on Monday, May 2.
With the loss, Manchester West moves to 2-7 on the season. The Blue knights travel to Souhegan (Amherst, NH) to face the Sabers in a Division II match on Wednesday, May 4. The Sabers go into the match with a record of 2-7.
