Northern Adirondack Bobcats (Ellenburg Depot, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Saranac Chiefs (Saranac, NY), 6-2 in a league challenge.

The Bobcats now own a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Beekmantown for a Section 7 Champlain Valley I challenge on Wednesday, May 4. Northern Adirondack will face a Eagles squad coming off a 12-11 league win over Saranac Lake (Saranac Lake, NY). The Eagles record now stands at 4-3.

With the loss, Saranac falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Chiefs travel to Moriah (Port Henry, NY) to face the Vikings in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I challenge on Wednesday, May 4. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 0-6. Moriah lost 17-8 in their recent league challenge against Peru (Peru, NY)
