California High School Volleyball - Valley Oaks CES tips Downtown Magnets

May 2, 2023: Sun Valley, CA 91352

Valley Oaks CES Vanguards (Sun Valley, CA) supporters left the game in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the visiting Downtown Magnets Suns (Los Angeles, CA), 3-2 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Vanguards battle the Elizabeth Bulldogs (Cudahy, CA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, May 4. Valley Oaks CES will attempt to advance on its 8-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the match with a 11-3 record after their 3-0 league loss to Marquez (Huntington Park, CA).

With the loss, Downtown Magnets drops to 4-11 on the campaign.

This match is a part of the 2023 CIF LA City Section Boys' Volleyball Championships - Division IV tournament
