In Tuesday's league game, the Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish (Kankakee, IL) soccer squad overwhelmed the host St. Edward Green Wave (Elgin, IL), by a final score of 9-0.
The Fightin' Irish (10-4) will now prepare for their game against St. Francis (Wheaton, IL). The Spartans come into the Metro Suburban test with a 8-4 record. In their last test, St. Francis ran past Elmwood Park (Elmwood Park, IL), 3-0, in a league test.
With the loss, St. Edward drops to 3-15 on the season. The Green wave travel to Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family (Downers Grove, IL) to meet the in a non-league test on Wednesday, May 3. The come into the test with a record of 2-1. Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family lost 4-1 in their recent non-league test against Westminster Christian (Elgin, IL)
