Des Lacs-Burlington Lakers (Des Lacs, ND) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Bottineau Braves/Stars (Bottineau, ND), 11-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Lakers now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bishop Ryan for a Class B - West Region 4 challenge on Thursday, May 4. Des Lacs-Burlington will battle a Lions squad coming off a 16-15 non-league loss to Rugby (Rugby, ND). The Lions record now stands at 2-2.
With the loss, Bottineau falls to 3-1 on the campaign. The Braves/stars travel to Tioga (Tioga, ND) to battle the Pirates in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 5. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 0-1.
