Canyon Springs Cougars (Moreno Valley, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host San Gorgonio Spartans (San Bernardino, CA), 11-8 in a non-league challenge.
The Cougars now own a 15-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sacred Heart of Jesus for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 4. Canyon Springs will battle a Comets squad coming off a 16-0 league win over San Gabriel Mission (San Gabriel, CA). The Comets record now stands at 10-7.
With the loss, San Gorgonio falls to 14-8 on the campaign.
