Eastern Christian HomeSchool Trailblazers (Washington, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Cape Hatteras Hurricanes (Buxton, NC), 8-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Trailblazers now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bear Grass Charter for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 3. Eastern Christian HomeSchool will battle a Bears squad coming off a 1-0 league win over Columbia (Columbia, NC). The Bears record now stands at 15-2.

With the loss, Cape Hatteras falls to 7-9 on the campaign. The Hurricanes travel to Hobgood Charter (Hobgood, NC) to battle the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 5. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 2-5. Hobgood Charter lost 1-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Mattamuskeet (Swan Quarter, NC)
