Christian Brothers Academy Brothers (Syracuse, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Phoenix Firebirds (Phoenix, NY), 12-6 in a league challenge.

The Brothers now own a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Syracuse for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 3.

With the loss, Phoenix falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The Firebirds travel to Mexico (Mexico, NY) to face the Tigers in a Section 3 Liberty challenge on Thursday, May 4. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 3-8. Mexico lost 9-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Solvay (Solvay, NY)
