Topeka Trojans (Topeka, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Emporia Spartans (Emporia, KS), 15-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they host Junction City/St. Xavier for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 3. Topeka will battle a Bluejays squad coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to Washburn Rural (Topeka, KS). The Bluejays record now stands at 3-3.

With the loss, Emporia falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Spartans host Kapaun Mt. Carmel (Wichita, KS) to battle the Crusaders in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 6. The Crusaders enter the challenge with a record of 9-4. Kapaun Mt. Carmel lost 4-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Mill Valley (Shawnee, KS)
