The Greenville Comets baseball team scored 5 runs and limited the visiting Altamont Indians to 1 in the Comets non-league victory on Thursday.
The Comets (15-12) will now prepare for their match against Southwestern (Piasa, IL). The Piasa Birds go into the South Central match with a 22-6 record. In their last match, Southwestern edged Carlinville (Carlinville, IL), 10-0, in a league match.
The Indians (19-8) will now prepare for their match against Dieterich (Dieterich, IL). The Movin Maroons go into the non-league match with a 5-12 record. In their last match, Dieterich was overwhelmed by Marshall (Marshall, IL), 7-2, in a non-league match.
