Spectators at Thursday's non-league battle between the Valley Vikings (New Kensington, PA) and the host Jeannette Jayhawks (Jeannette, PA), saw Valley's baseball squad knock off Jeannette by a count of 6-3.

Coming up next, the Vikings play the Deer Lakes Lancers (Russellton, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 3 battle, on Monday, May 6. Valley will attempt to move on its 13-4 season record. The Lancers enter the battle with a 5-11 record after their 8-1 non-league loss to Kiski Area (Vandergrift, PA).

The Jayhawks now possess a 6-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ligonier Valley for a WPIAL 2A 3 battle on Monday, May 6. Jeannette will play a Rams squad coming off a 4-3 league loss to Brentwood (Pittsburgh, PA). The Rams record now stands at 5-10.
