The Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers baseball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting Pontiac Indians to 5 in the Panthers league victory on Thursday.

The Panthers (12-9) will now prepare for their match against St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL). The Spartans go into the Illini Prairie match with a 25-2 record. In their last match, St. Joseph-Ogden edged Tolono Unity (Tolono, IL), 12-5, in a league match.

The Indians (7-14) will now prepare for their match against Normal University (Normal, IL). The Pioneers go into the non-league match with a 21-6 record. In their last match, Normal University edged MacArthur (Decatur, IL), 15-0, in a league match.
