The Cardinal Mooney Cardinals lacrosse team scored 17 points and held the host Boardman Spartans to 5 in the Cardinals league win on Thursday.
The Cardinals (11-3) will now prepare for their game against St. Vincent-St. Mary (Akron, OH). The Fighting Irish go into the Region 6 game with a 6-4 record. In their last game, St. Vincent-St. Mary was overwhelmed by Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (Cuyahoga Falls, OH), 12-5, in a non-league game.
The Spartans (3-8) will now prepare for their game against Louisville (Louisville, OH). The Leopards go into the Region 4 game with a 3-7 record. In their last game, Louisville was overwhelmed by Lake (Uniontown, OH), 18-2, in a league game.
