The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Holmdel Hornets (Holmdel, NJ) and the visiting Middletown North Lions (Middletown, NJ), saw Holmdel's lacrosse team top Middletown North by a margin of 19-5.

The Hornets (9-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Red Bank Regional (Little Silver, NJ). The Bucs enter the non-league challenge with a 7-5 record.

The Lions (6-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Howell (Farmingdale, NJ). The Rebels enter the non-league challenge with a 4-8 record. In their last challenge, Howell was overwhelmed by Jackson Memorial (Jackson Township, NJ), 8-3, in a league challenge.
