In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Anchor Bay Tars soccer squad scored a good 8-0 win over the Edsel Ford Thunderbirds.
The Tars (5-4) will now prepare for their battle against Dakota (Macomb, MI). The Cougars go into the non-league battle with a 4-3 record. In their last battle, Dakota was overwhelmed by Adams (Rochester, MI), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
The Thunderbirds (6-5) will now prepare for their battle against Woodhaven (Brownstown, MI). The Warriors go into the Downriver battle with a 7-5 record. In their last battle, Woodhaven notched a victory over Carlson (Gibraltar, MI), 2-1, in a league battle.
