The Kettle Run Cougars lacrosse team scored 9 points and held the host James Monroe Yellow Jackets to 8 in the Cougars non-league win on Thursday.
The Cougars (4-5) will now prepare for their game against Meridian (Falls Church, VA). The Mustangs go into the Northwestern game with a 9-2 record. In their last game, Meridian nudged Maret (Washington, DC), 9-8, in a non-league game.
The Yellow Jackets (7-5) will now prepare for their game against Eastern View (Culpeper, VA). The Cyclones go into the Battlefield game with a 2-7 record. In their last game, Eastern View was tipped by Charlottesville (Charlottesville, VA), 12-8, in a non-league game.
