Austintown-Fitch Falcons (Youngstown, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Mentor Cardinals (Mentor, OH), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 15-1 record. They take the field next when they host Avon Lake for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6. Austintown-Fitch will battle a Shoremen squad coming off a 4-2 non-league win over North Olmsted (North Olmsted, OH). The Shoremen record now stands at 8-16.

With the loss, Mentor falls to 14-7 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Shaker Heights (Shaker Heights, OH) to battle the Red Raiders in a Greater Cleveland challenge on Friday, May 3. The Red Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 2-5. Shaker Heights lost 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Pymatuning Valley (Andover, OH)
