Union Local Jets (Belmont, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bellaire Big Reds (Bellaire, OH), 12-11 in a non-league challenge.

The Jets now own a 13-10 record. They take the field next when they host Coshocton for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6. Union Local will face a Redskins squad coming off a 12-0 non-league loss to Liberty Union (Baltimore, OH). The Redskins record now stands at 5-20.

With the loss, Bellaire falls to 8-15 on the campaign. The Big reds host Shadyside (Shadyside, OH) to face the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 3. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 12-9. Shadyside lost 14-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Barnesville (Barnesville, OH)
