Huntington North Vikings (Huntington, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bellmont Braves (Decatur, IN), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 12-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Leo for a Northeast Eight challenge on Monday, May 6. Huntington North will face a Lions squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Harrison (West Lafayette, IN). The Lions record now stands at 16-4.

With the loss, Bellmont falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Braves host Mississinewa (Gas City, IN) to face the Indians in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 3. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 7-6. Mississinewa lost 9-3 in their recent league challenge against Madison-Grant (Fairmount, IN)
