In Thursday's non-league contest, the South Knox Spartans (Vincennes, IN) softball team overwhelmed the host Bloomfield Cardinals (Bloomfield, IN), by a margin of 13-1.

With the triumph, South Knox moves its record to 7-6 on the year. The Spartans travel to Northeast Dubois (Dubois, IN) to play the Jeeps in a Blue Chip contest on Friday, May 3. The Jeeps come into the contest with a record of 8-4. Northeast Dubois won 14-0 in their recent league contest against Shoals (Shoals, IN)

In their next game, the Cardinals play the Washington Hatchets (Washington, IN) in a non-league contest, on Friday, May 3. Bloomfield will attempt to move on its 4-8 season record. The Hatchets come into the contest with a 5-12 record after their 14-1 league loss to Gibson Southern (Fort Branch, IN).
