The Cumberland Redskins routed the visiting Green County Dragons softball squad by a count of 9-0 in Thursday's non-league battle.
The Redskins (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Taylor County (Campbellsville, KY). The Cardinals go into the non-league battle with a 18-8 record. In their last battle, Taylor County was routed by Bryan Station (Lexington, KY), 9-7, in a non-league battle.
The Dragons now sport a 11-17 record. They play next when they host Nelson County for a non-league battle on Monday, May 6. Green County will meet a Cardinals squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Bardstown (Bardstown, KY). The Cardinals record now stands at 11-9.
