Elyria Catholic Panthers (Elyria, OH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Perkins Pirates (Sandusky, OH), 11-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now sport a 14-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Olmsted Falls for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 3. Elyria Catholic will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 17-5 league loss to Midview (Grafton, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-11.

With the loss, Perkins falls to 5-8 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Norwalk (Norwalk, OH) to face the Truckers in a Sandusky Bay - Lake challenge on Friday, May 3. The Truckers enter the challenge with a record of 11-7. Norwalk lost 8-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Madison Comprehensive (Mansfield, OH)
