Eureka Hornets (Eureka, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Hartsburg-Emden Stags (Hartsburg, IL), 21-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 6-18 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bloomington Central Catholic for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6. Eureka will battle a Saints squad coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL). The Saints record now stands at 15-14.

With the loss, Hartsburg-Emden falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Stags travel to Athens (Athens, IL) to battle the Warriors in a Sangamo challenge on Monday, May 6. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 9-12.
