Westford Academy Grey Ghosts (Westford, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Framingham Flyers (Framingham, MA), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Grey Ghosts now own a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bedford for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 3.

With the loss, Framingham falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Flyers travel to Weymouth (South Weymouth, MA) to battle the Wildcats in a Bay State - Carey challenge on Monday, May 6. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 7-4.
