The Western Panthers baseball team scored 14 runs and held the host Anderson Indians to 8 in the Panthers non-league win on Friday.

The Panthers now own a 13-2 record. They take the field next when they host McCutcheon for a non-league test on Saturday, May 3. Western will clash with a Mavericks team coming off a 10-7 non-league win over North Central (Indianapolis, IN). The Mavericks record now stands at 4-6.

With the defeat, Anderson drops to 8-7 on the year. The Indians host Muncie Central (Muncie, IN) to clash with the Bearcats in a North Central test on Monday, May 5. The Bearcats go into the test with a record of 2-12. Muncie Central lost 15-9 in their recent non-league test against Monroe Central (Parker City, IN)
