The Elmira Express baseball team scored 2 runs and held the visiting Union-Endicott Tigers to 0 in the Express league win on Friday.

The Express now hold a 5-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Corning-Painted Post for a Section 4 Southern Tier - West test on Monday, May 5. Elmira will play a Hawks team coming off a 10-3 non-league loss to Aquinas Institute (Rochester, NY). The Hawks record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, Union-Endicott drops to 6-6 on the year. The Tigers travel to Vestal (Vestal, NY) to play the Golden Bears in a Section 4 Southern Tier - Metro test on Monday, May 5. The Golden Bears go into the test with a record of 11-2. Vestal won 12-0 in their recent league test against Maine-Endwell (Endwell, NY)
