The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Evansville North Huskies (Evansville, IN) and the host New Albany Bulldogs (New Albany, IN), saw Evansville North's baseball team gain a win over New Albany by a tally of 8-6.

The Huskies (11-4) will now prepare for their battle against Floyd Central (Floyds Knobs, IN). The Highlanders enter the non-league battle with a 6-8 record. In their last battle, Floyd Central by North Oldham (Goshen, KY), 11-5, in a non-league battle.

With the defeat, New Albany drops to 6-7 on the year. The Bulldogs host Jennings County (North Vernon, IN) to clash with the Panthers in a Hoosier Hills challenge on Saturday, May 3. The Panthers go into the challenge with a record of 6-7. Jennings County won 7-3 in their recent league challenge against Columbus East (Columbus, IN)
