In Friday's non-league game, the visiting New London Whalers baseball team scored a close 7-3 victory over the Griswold Wolverines.

The Whalers (5-5) will now prepare for their game against Windham (Willimantic, CT). The Whippets enter the non-league game with a 1-10 record. In their last game, Windham was overwhelmed by Ledyard (Ledyard, CT), 2-0, in a league game.

Next, the Wolverines face the Killingly Redmen (Killingly, CT) in a non-league game, on Saturday, May 3. Griswold will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Redmen enter the game with a 6-2 record after their 9-4 non-league loss to Montville (Oakdale, CT).
