The crowd at Friday's league battle between the Vienna Eagles (Vienna, MO) and the visiting Laquey Hornets (Laquey, MO), saw Vienna's baseball team gain a win over Laquey by a tally of 11-1.

The Eagles (10-8) will now prepare for their battle against Linn (Linn, MO). The Wildcats enter the Class 2 District 8 battle with a 9-12 record. In their last battle, Linn was overwhelmed by Fatima (Westphalia, MO), 6-1, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Hornets face the Osage Indians (Kaiser, MO) in a non-league battle, on Monday, May 5. Laquey will attempt to upgrade on its 1-12 season record. The Indians enter the battle with a 6-15 record after their 17-7 non-league loss to Pembroke Hill (Kansas City, MO).
