Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA) and the visiting South County Stallions (Lorton, VA), saw West Springfield's soccer squad hold off South County by a count of 2-1.

The Spartans (9-0) will now prepare for their battle against West Potomac (Alexandria, VA). The Wolverines enter the non-league battle with a 6-4 record. In their last battle, West Potomac was edged by Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Stallions battle the Lake Braddock Bruins (Burke, VA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, May 5. South County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record.
