In Friday's non-league game, the host Melrose Red Raiders baseball squad scored a tight 7-1 triumph over the Westport Wildcats.
With the triumph, Melrose moves its record to 9-1 on the season. The Red Raiders travel to Wakefield Memorial (Wakefield, MA) to confront the Warriors in a non-league contest on Tuesday, May 6. The Warriors come into the contest with a record of 0-1.
The Wildcats now possess a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holbrook for a non-league contest on Monday, May 5.
